About this tool

Page numbers make long documents, reports and coursework much easier to read and refer to. Pick top or bottom, left, center or right, and a format that suits your document.

If your document has a cover page, you can leave it unnumbered. Everything runs on your device.

Questions

Can I start numbering from a number other than 1?

Yes. Set "Start counting at" to any number, which helps when your PDF continues from another document.

Can I skip the first page?

Yes. Tick "Don't number the first page". Numbering then starts on page two.

Will the numbers appear on rotated pages correctly?

Yes. Numbers are placed by how each page looks on screen, so they appear upright even on landscape or rotated pages.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The numbers are added in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
